The Observatory
The Observatory will live in perhaps the most enviable location in the western United States. It sits thirty miles north of Zion National Park and west of Bryce Canyon National Park, ninety miles southwest of Capitol Reefs National Park, and a hundred miles southeast of Great Basin National Park. Its views extend in all directions, encompassing the Black Mountains, Mt. Baldy, Mt. Belknap, Granite Peak, Windy Ridge, the Wah Wah Mountains, and Frisco Peak.
The lower level houses several utility spaces, plus three bedrooms, a playroom, and a hot tub patio. The main level, accessed by a glass-filled, standing seam metal-clad stair tower, holds the master suite to the north, with generous windows facing the expansive western horizon. A bespoke office is accessed just off the stair. Spanning the entire depth of the main level is the living room with a double-sided fireplace, opening to the west on a firepit & sun deck, and to the east on a covered dining & barbecue terrace. The kitchen, dining, and butler’s pantry occupy the south end of the home, enjoying the best corner of sunlight in the home. A second office occupies the southeast end.
The Observatory is anticipated to begin construction in 2025.
